1. I have so many butterfly manicures, I find it hard to come up with a creative title. But anyway, here is today's manicure, black creme base with golden butterflies on top, and also some gold glitter from Viva La Nails to mark their trail. The black base is from She, another local band. (That one with the star-shaped bottles.)

Konad m76 and m79 in Special White and Green

For this konadicure I wanted to use designs from my new plates. I used 3 thin coats of "Mermaid" to get it opaque and then I put a Seche Vite topcoat to dry it quickly.  

Then I decided to layer two patterns.  The background is the lattice pattern from m79 in Special White. Over that I randomly placed the butterfly image from m76 in Special Green.  I think it might have looked better if I placed the butterfly in the same position on each nail, but, oh well....too late now!

Crazy Argyle - polishes nail

For this konadicure, I painted three vertical stripes of polish - lime green, bright green and royal blue.

Then I stamped the argyle pattern across the whole nail using Konad Special White.  It's a design from m60, one of the first plates I bought.

When I applied Seche Vite QD topcoat, the white pattern over the lime green polish kind of turned yellowish.

This one is a real attention-grabber!  It has generated a lot of positive feedback and many questions about how I did it! I love how it turned out.

Strawberry and Watermelon Toes - polishes nail

The only thing I didn’t like about this is that it looks as if there is an unpainted gap on the watermelon design. It’s a problem that I get sometimes when I do express pedicures, because there will be excess cuticle and I prefer not to paint on the cuticles.

This is why a classic pedicure is so much better if you have a lot of excess cuticle that is covering your nail plate. With all that cuticle removed, you can paint all the way to the base of the nail and it will look so much better!
